What is the point?

For most high school and college students, classes, and school in general, are hardly worth the time and effort that has become required.

Why do I have to get up so early? Why do I have to learn this? When will I ever use this in life? Who cares about what someone else messed up in their ALREADY PUBLISHED essay?

These questions cross everyone's mind at some point in their schooling career (myself included). We complain about the work load and the relevance of the material. But for some reason, we believe that, after schooling is completed and we get a job in the real world, everything will be sunshine and rainbows. We think that our job, our dream job, is going to be easy and simplistic. However, that is far from the truth.

If school is pointless and the work/material is irrelevant, then work will eventually be viewed the same way. A monotonous, boring day of pointless work that you can't wait to be done with.

Is school worth it? Is there actually a point to what is taught? Maybe. Maybe not. That is up to each of us to decide on our own. But, our decision will affect our view on our future job.

    1. I wrote this when you were analyzing those articles for grammar errors and other stuff for your one college class. I knew you would agree with it.
